Charlotte Schofield, fundraiser from Mary Stevens Hospice (MSH), kindly gave up her time this week to share with our Private Client Department team her excitement and vision for the amazing work carried out by our local hospice. The hospice helps not only those diagnosed and suffering with terminal illness but also reaches out to their families and carers both during their illness and beyond. Their work covers a wide geographical area: from as far south as Worcestershire, west into parts of Herefordshire, north into Staffordshire and of course the West Midlands including Oldbury, Smethwick and the rest of Sandwell and Dudley. In fact they cover much the same area as that in which many of RMP ’ clients live or work!

MSH helps these people make the most of their lives making it memorable for everyone for all the right reasons: creating positive experiences and ensuring happy memories for those dear ones left behind  She has shown us that death and dying need not be morbid or bleak or relentlessly sad. Parties and fun are high on the agenda at the Hospice, whilst the illness is dealt with in a sensitive way. It is a caring and inspiring place where life is lived to the max.

If you want to find out more about leaving a legacy to any charity, please make an appointment to discuss your will. Legacies (however small or large) make such a different to the work of charities. Without legacies and gifts many charities will have to reduce the extent of their work, some may cease to exist.

Don’t delay, make an appointment to make or review your will today!
